Life Designer | Mentor | Start-up Founder & Advisor | Author
I am a silver-haired tech business executive turned entrepreneur, life designer, and mentor. I now help people design their careers andcretirements through workshops that encourage building a design thinker’s mindset. I mentor start-up founders on business models and Go-To-Market strategies. I teach entrepreneurship to college and high school students. I am a Board Advisor to Shikshanjali, an edu-tech NGO in India, and a Board Trustee for Waterways Watch Society, an NGO in Singapore that promotes stewardship of water resources in Singapore.
In 2016, I relocated to California to join Stanford University’s Distinguished Careers Institute (DCI). While at Stanford, I was
inspired by the Designing-Your-Life course, and I became a certified”Design Your Life” Coach. I launched Alt-Lyf on my return to Singapore. We apply design thinking skills to help people who feel stuck in their lives/careers or are at major work-life transition points.
Before that, I spent two decades in senior leadership roles across Asia-Pacific at HP, Lexmark, Heinz, and Marico. Provoking and managing change is my forte. We launched disruptive products and business models to gain market share and revenue. My specialty is Go-To-Market strategy and execution.
In my entrepreneurial avatar, I started a 3d printing services company, launched a pet services app in Singapore, and developed an enterprise business analytics tool in the industrial printing
space. This tool uses proprietary algorithms to calculate business dashboard metrics.
The dog is my spirit animal. I recently published a travel book about our various road trips in the US with our loveable Labrador Retriever, Zen. https://zen-doggy.com/
In my spare time, I write articles on Medium on everything Dog.
