3/29/2016 – Who’s Aging More Rapidly Than U.S.? Parts of Asia, Europe

The U.S. ranks as the 48th oldest nation out of 228 countries, but it’s projected to drop to a relatively youthful 85th by 2050.

That’s among the findings of a U.S. Census Bureau report released this week that stacks up U.S. demographic trends with the rest of the world. The number of Americans ages 65 and over is expected to reach 88 million by 2050, up from 48 million in 2015.
