Prevention by Design: Creating Healthy Lifestyles for Long Lives
Deadline: December 1, 2025
The 13th annual SCL Longevity Design Challenge is open for submissions from undergraduate and graduate students worldwide. This year’s challenge focuses on preventive health. The Center is looking for innovations that support lifestyles, habits and environments that increase resilience and well-being for people of all ages and socioeconomic status.
Designs can be physical products, digital solutions, programs or services and can target lifestyle factors such as sleep, nutrition, physical activity, mental health, social relationships and financial health. The deadline for submissions is December 1, 2025. Finalist teams will receive a $1,000 award, mentorship from experienced leaders and financial support to travel to Stanford for the Design Challenge Finals on April 14, 2026. Prizes of $10,000, $5,000 and $2,000 will be awarded to the winning teams.
