1/9/2013 – Diversity Research Clarifies Issues, Offers Solutions (Vanguard)

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the study of workforce diversity in defined contribution (DC) retirement plans—and in particular, the role of race and ethnicity in savings and investment choices.

To help inform plan sponsors about the differences in savings and investment behavior among Asian, black, Hispanic, and white participants, Vanguard Center for Retirement Research (CRR) has completed a trilogy of research papers on race/ethnicity and DC plans.
