3/30/11 – New Stanford Research Center to Tackle Tragic Mystery of Prematurity

The March of Dimes Foundation has approved Stanford’s application to establish a transdisciplinary March of Dimes Prematurity Research Center at Stanford University School of Medicine. “We’ve been worried about prematurity for years. There’s been a lot of funding and a lot of important discoveries,” said Paul Wise, Center on Longevity affiliate and second principal investigator at the center. “But the prematurity rate has gone up, not down. So the incentive here is to try more creative things.”
