Mr. Duhamel is Founding Principal and Route One Investment Company, LP. He previously was with Farallon Capital, joining the firm in 1995 and elected Managing Member in 1999. Mr. Duhamel focused on investments in arbitrage, long and short equities, private equity, insurance, and credit in all major geographies of the world. He was the first partner to oversee a group of analysts, named the Value Group, which managed a portfolio consisting of long and short equities and distressed debt. Mr. Duhamel previously owned, operated, and sold cable companies in Mexico and the US, and worked for Bain & Company. Mr. Duhamel graduated with honors and distinction with a BA in Economics and a MSE in Operations Research from Stanford University (1983). Mr. Duhamel earned an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar (1988).
