Dr. Reilly joined the San Diego State University School of Social Work in August 2008 and is responsible for oversight and administration of the School’s budget, day-to-day operations, securing extramural funding and guiding the education, professional and research mission of the School. Dr. Reilly also serves as Executive Director of the Caesars Foundation, a private charity operating internationally and strategically focused on programs serving the elderly. Dr. Reilly served as Corporate Vice President of Social Responsibility for Caesar Entertainment, Inc. from August 2006 to August 2008. Dr. Reilly is the former Vice Chancellor of the University of Nevada, System of Higher Education for the Health Sciences System and the former County Manager/CEO for Clark County, Nevada. Dr. Reilly accepted his first position in Nevada as a policy analyst with the Department of Human Resources, and eventually was responsible for overseeing the child welfare system for the state of Nevada. Dr. Reilly also was an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV.)  Dr. Reilly holds both a Doctorate and Master of Public Administration degrees from the University of Southern California (USC), a Master of Social Work from Arizona State University, and a BA from Memphis State University. Dr. Reilly serves on the editorial board for the Administration in Social Work and has served on the editorial board for Public Administration Review (PAR). Dr. Reilly currently serves on the national Boards for the Meals on Wheels Association of America Foundation (MOWAA) and the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). In October 2005 Dr. Reilly was elected a Fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA).
