Marissa Huang is a MD candidate at Stanford School of Medicine. She graduated with summa cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physiological Science. Marissa is passionate about helping people optimize health through natural lifestyle changes and healthy eating. She assists Stanford School of Medicine’s Teaching Kitchen where she helps teach medical and physician assistant students how to make healthy recipes and counsel patients on eating a nutritious and balanced diet to prevent chronic disease progression. She is currently designing curriculum for a medical school elective that will be piloted at Stanford Medical School called “Practical Applications of Lifestyle Medicine”. As a New Map of Life Fellow, Marissa will work towards integrating lifestyle medicine into medical care through education.
