Improving Engagement With Assistive Technology
Advisor: Laura Carstensen
Leigh Chu received her Ph.D. in Psychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is now working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Life-span Development Lab at Stanford Psychology and as a New Map of Life Fellow at the Stanford Center on Longevity. Her research focuses on understanding conditions that elicit expansive motivation (i.e., curiosity or desire for novelties), exploring innovative ways to optimize expansive experiences (e.g., interaction with novel technologies), and seeking new ways of living for people across the life span. She is also interested in identifying ways to enhance technological acceptance and human-technology interactions in later adulthood.
