Antoine (Po-Han) Ho
Discipline: Dermatology
Project: Skin vulnerability
Advisor: Anne Chang
Antoine is a board-certified dermatologist from Taiwan with five years of clinical experience and a Master of Public Health from Harvard University. During his dermatology residency, he focused on understanding and managing skin-related side effects of cancer targeted therapies and immunotherapies, adapting to the evolving treatment technologies and rising cancer incidence. His two years of experience in business consulting for biopharma provide him with valuable industry insights, allowing him to align his research with practical needs in both the skincare market and dermatology clinical practice.
As a research fellow in the Stanford Skin Longevity Program, Antoine works with Dr. Anne Chang to develop and validate a new scoring system for assessing skin frailty—a condition where aging, sun exposure, and medications increase skin vulnerability to stressors and injuries. His research also investigates the links between skin frailty and various medical conditions, including skin cancers, and explores the impact of sleep on skin health. Antoine aims to create strategies for maintaining skin health among older adults.
