“If you’re sedentary and you start doing everything the [Department of Health and Human Services’] guidelines recommend, that’s a big change in lifestyle,” said Dr. Michael Rogers, an exercise physiologist and director of the Center for Physical Activity and Aging at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kan. “We were interested in looking at how we can make that transition a little easier.”
