Harry Holzer

Harry Holzer is the John LaFarge Jr. SJ Professor of Public Policy at Georgetown University. He is also a fellow in Economic Studies at the Brookings Institution and an AIR Fellow at the American Institutes for Research. He has previously served as the Chief Economist of the US Department of Labor and as a professor of economics at Michigan State University. He co-founded the Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality, and is affiliated with the Institute for Research on Poverty at the University of Wisconsin and the Stanford Center on Poverty and Inequality. He attained his BA (1978) and his Ph.D in Economics (1983) at Harvard University.
