Is this same sachet usable/effective for other types of fruits and vegetables? Does the effectiveness vary depending on each type of fruit? Just the impact on Mangos is significant, but I was curious if that is the only fruit tested, or if mangos seem to be the most responsive/impactful.

But for each fruit, we have developed a tailor made sachet because of the different properties for each fruit, meaning that each fruit has a different sachet. We have so far tested it with mangoes, oranges, and apples. We have fine tuned each sachet to give the best result with each specific fruit and currently, we are able to give up to 33 days of shelf life extension for mangoes, oranges and apples. Are there any regulatory concerns for expansion into EU and US?

Thank you Dr. Goldstein for the question. The regulatory concerns are there but we anticipate that our solution will not face any hindrance when scaling up to Europe and US because all our materials are generally regarded as safe by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). More to this, our product doesn’t degrade the nutrient quality in the fruits with time. We believe that this will help us easily go over the regulatory concerns when the time of our scaling up to US and Europe reaches.
