Deborah Kado is a co-director of the Stanford Center on Longevity. She is a professor of medicine and co-chief of the Geriatric Section of the Department of Medicine, Division of Primary Care and Population Health. Dr. Kado has a special interest in bone health. Dr. Kado has conducted extensive research focused on osteoporosis and the related disorder hyperkyphosis. Her ongoing research is examining the underlying biological correlates of age-related kyphosis and investigating potential preventive and treatment options for affected persons.
