The True Impact of Fraud: A Roundtable of Experts – Washington, DC 2014

The Financial Fraud Research Center, a joint project of the Stanford Center on Longevity and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation, convened a group of expert researchers and practitioners in the spring of 2014 to discuss the true impact and cost of financial fraud.

The conference brought together a diverse group of participants to examine multiple aspects of the issue and suggest ways to improve measurement of fraud’s impact. Attendees discussed the importance of reliable and accurate prevalence measures, obtaining more inclusive measures of the victim experience, and improving the collection of fraud complaints.
