Feby Maria Puravath Manikat, MD is currently a practicing sleep medicine physician. She completed her fellowship in the Division of Sleep Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Prior to entering fellowship, she trained at Cornell University in nutritional sciences and at the Harvard Medical School for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia.
Her clinical interests are in lifestyle/longevity and integrative medicine. She regularly practices meditation and yoga, and has over a decade of experience in these methods. She is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine in which she plays an active role in the Political Action Committee, advocating for sleep health in the general population by making evidence-based recommendations to members of Congress.
Dr. Puravath is the youngest member of the panel that offers expert opinions on sleep health, daylight saving time and sleep priority in schools and workplaces to Congressional lawmakers. She is a lecturer for the upcoming academic year in the popular course “Sleep and Dreams” taught at Stanford University.
