David Shi-Ann Chang, MD

Dr. David Chang is a public health practitioner and primary care physician. As a an internist at Stanford, he sees patients at Stanford Internal Medicine and Peninsula Healthcare Connection, a clinic serving primarily unhoused and unstably housed patient. Dr. Chang also teaches classes on population health, public health, health equity, and community engagement. At Stanford, he serves as the medical director for community partnerships for the Division of Primary Care and Population Health and as the co-director for the Community Health scholarly concentration. He has a joint appointment at San Mateo County Public Health Department as assistant health officer, and previously served as local public health director and health officer for Virginia Department of Health.
