Brook S. Kennedy is an Industrial Designer and Associate Professor of at Virginia Tech. Before arriving in academia Brook spent over a decade designing award winning consumer products for multiple categories, most recently with Smart Design and OXO, both early influencers in inclusive, Universal Design.  With the soul of an inventor and a desire to make the world a better place through design his current interests lie in design which promotes health, wellness and sustainability. Brook earned a BA at Reed College and an MFA at Stanford University with the Joint Program in Design.
