More than half of the 1.3 billion Chinese population lives in rural nareas. Increasingly, the oldest generation remains at home raising grandchildren and working the farmland, while the younger generation seeks work in urban areas. Household vegetable plots are a tradition for rural Chinese, but require a significant amount of bending and squatting. A-Helper is meant to allow persons with limited physical abilities to continue growing vegetables at home.
