Barbara Yaeger

Research Program Manager, The Davis Phinney Foundation

Barbara Yaeger has a Ph.D. in biomedical physics and has spent her research career studying the brain, how it develops, and how it interacts with the environment. She held faculty positions at the University of Colorado Boulder, Institute of Cognitive Science/Department of Psychology & Neuroscience, and the University of Michigan, Department of Psychiatry. Recently, she spent two years with the Peace Corps sharing her passion for science by teaching in Tanzania. Now, working at the Davis Phinney Foundation, Barbara facilitates scientific advancement to help people with Parkinsonís live well today. The Foundation funds early-phase, innovative research that focuses on exercise, speech, movement and other factors that affect quality of life.
