Bill Damon is Professor of Education at Stanford University, Director of the Stanford Center on Adolescence, and Senior Fellow, by courtesy, at the Hoover Institution. He is one of the world’s leading researchers on the development of purpose. Dr. Damon’s research explores how people develop purpose and integrity in their work, family, and civic life. Dr. Damon’s current work focuses on vocational, civic, and entrepreneurial purpose among young people and on purpose in families and schools. He is the author of several books including The Power of Ideals: The Real Story of Moral Choice (2016; with Anne Colby) and The Path to Purpose: How Young People Find Their Calling in Life (2008). Dr. Damon is an elected Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the National Academy of Education, and the American Educational Research Association.
