Specifically he examines the effects of early life stress on neurodevelopment in boys and girls from birth through puberty considering neural, cognitive, social, endocrinological, and genetic factors that may increase risk. Dr. Gotlib also studies how maternal behaviors and environmental risk factors contribute to infants and children.
