Lucie Stern Professor in the Social Sciences

Anthony Wagner is a Lucie Stern Professor of Psychology, Deputy Director of the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute, and the Director of the Stanford Memory Laboratory. Dr. Wagner’s research interests include the cognitive neuroscience of memory and executive control in young and older adults. Specifically, neurocognitive aging, the functional organization of the prefrontal cortex, and encoding and retrieval mechanisms in older adults. His translational research examines aging and Alzheimer’s disease, the relationship between multitasking and cognition, and the implications of neuroscience for law.
