gsalogoNovember 6, 2014 (1:00 pm) Laura Carstensen will be awarded the 2014 Robert W. Kleemeier Award. This distinguished honor is given annually to a GSA member in recognition for outstanding research in the field of gerontology. It was established in 1965 in memory of Robert W. Kleemeier, PhD, a former president of the Society whose contributions to the quality of life through research in aging were exemplary.

November 6, 2014 (3 pm – 4:30 pm) Dawn Carr will present a paper with collaborators Kendra Jason, Tiffany Washington, Tandrea Hilliard, & Chivon Mingo on “Multiple Chronic Conditions and Working in Later Life: Is Resilience a Potential Mediator?”

November 7, 2014 (8:00 am – 9:30 am) The 2015 White House Conference on Aging: GSA Section Leaders, including Laura Carstensen, reflect back and look forward to the next phase of aging policy action.

November 7, 2014 (5 pm – 6:30 pm) Michaela Beals, Dawn Carr, Martha Deevy, & Laura Carstensen will present a paper entitled “Impact of Survey Context and Age on Self-Reported Rates of Fraud Victimization.”
