Course: Science and Dimensions of Wellness
In this course, taught by a number of experts, you will learn the science behind well-being and ways to make better lifestyle choices in the areas of stress management, nutrition, and physical activity. You will receive personalized one-on-one support, practical advice, and motivation to help you take charge of your wellness. The program includes: four interactive group sessions on fitness, nutrition/weight management, stress, and healthy aging; clinical measurement options related to cardiovascular disease prevention and weight management; and a wellness plan with 5 weeks of individual wellness coaching.
Instructors: Jill Fattor, MS, Associate Research Scientist for the Mobility Project at the Stanford Center on Longevity; Phil Cutte, PhD, exercise physiologist and director of Stanford Human Performance Lab; Renee Burgard, PhD; Shauna Hyde, RD, Stanford Prevention Research Center; and HIP wellness coaches.
