Author Marc Freedman

The distinguished lecture series is cosponsored by Stanford Health Policy’s Center on Advancing Decision Making in Aging (CADMA), the Center on Longevity and the Center on the Legal Profession at Stanford Law School. The lectures are open to Stanford students, alumni, faculty and staff as well as community members.

The goal of the series is to stimulate our thinking about longevity issues. Speakers in the series thus far have included John W. Rowe, Professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University and former CEO of Aetna, Inc., and Barbara Strauch, Science Editor at The New York Times.

Marc Freedman, Founder and CEO of Civic Ventures, and author of a new book called The Big Shift: Navigating the New Stage Beyond Midlife, presented the Center’s spring 2011 lecture on May 24.
