Rita Ghatak, MA, PhD

Director of Aging Adult Services, School of Medicine

Rita Ghatak is the Director of Aging Adult Services (AAS) at Stanford University Medical Center (SUMC) which she started in 2004. AAS provides assessments, assistance, care coordination and advocacy for older adults at Stanford (the only patient-services-centered program at SUMC and one of a kind in the United States) She developed a Geriatric Care Training program - the first of its kind - for caregivers for the elderly and is a published psychologist/gerontologist, holding significant positions in different eldercare coalitions. Dr. Ghatak's research focuses on dementia management, caregiver training, patient care outcomes and management of neurological disorders.
